National Preparedness Month
As we get to the close of this month, HR Strategies wants to remind all of you that September has been National preparedness Month.
The website Ready.gov has tips on how to be prepared. This year Ready.gov is asking everyone to take action now – make a plan with your community, your family, and for your pets. Plan how to stay safe and communicate during the disasters that can affect your community. They ask everyone to participate in America’s PrepareAthon! and the national day of action, National PrepareAthon! Day, which culminates National Preparedness Month tomorrow, September 30th.
Our client’s can rest assured knowing that we take preparedness seriously, and have our plans in place. By definition, a disaster is a calamitous event, especially one occurring suddenly. Through HR Strategies Disaster Recovery Plan, the company is hoping that their client’s will be able to rest easier knowing that client employees will still receive their paychecks, benefits, and other human resource administrations in case of an unforeseen natural or otherwise occurring disaster.
HR Strategies has invested in an offsite location that is prepared to function as their Backup Operations Site, within four hours of any disaster that may occur. This offsite location houses all of their computer and operational equipment, to which all of their data is backed up nightly, and all of their critical data is fully encrypted and backed up hourly twenty-four hours a day seven days a week. Key staff members will be relocated to this site in the event of a disaster, and all other staff members will have complete remote access via the internet. HR Strategies has committed to annual testing simulation of the plan, as well as continual investment of time and resources to further develop and implement the Disaster Recovery Plan. With the unveiling of their Disaster Recovery Plan, HR Strategies is hoping to ease clients concerns over the “what if?”
Now that you know your HR needs are covered, what can you do to prepare yourselves?
